2014.10.22. AN IMPROVEMENT ON THE DELSARTE LP BOUND WITH APPLICATIONS TO QUANTUM INFORMATICAL PROBLEMS

The linear programming (LP) bound of Delsarte can be applied to several problems in various branches of mathematics. I will describe a general Fourier analytic method to get a slight improvement on this bound,  and explain how this can be exploited in the context of mutually unbiased bases (which are objects with applications in quantum cryptography). The seminar will be based on a joint work with Máté Matolcsi.
